Adelaide Built is a small building company specialising in architectural new homes, renovations, and additions. We are seeking an experienced Carpenter / Leading Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of Carpentry, including 1st fix framing, 2nd fix, wall cladding, and general building knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform carpentry work, including 1st and 2nd fix framing, wall cladding, and general building tasks.

Lead and manage a team of carpenters on site.

Work independently

Act as a site contact for employees and subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and workflow.

Work directly with the project manager to ensure that projects remain on schedule and all tasks are completed on time.

Monitor and manage sub-contractors, ensuring work quality and adherence to timelines when required.

Maintain a high standard of safety and site cleanliness.

Own basic set of tools

Qualifications:

Certificate III in Carpentry

Proven experience in Carpentry, particularly 1st and 2nd fix framing, wall cladding, and general building.

Valid driver’s license

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience with architectural homes and renovations.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage site operations effectively.
