Are you passionate about water safety and creating a positive experience for the community? We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Pool Lifeguards to join our team at the Armadale Fitness & Aquatic Centre (AFAC).

What you will Be Working On

• Supervising all pool areas to maintain a safe and controlled environment.
• Responding swiftly to incidents and emergencies, including rescues and administering first aid.
• Monitoring patron behaviour and ensuring compliance with safety guidelines.
• Supporting the setup and pack-down of swimming activities and events.
• Providing outstanding customer service and handling non-routine enquiries professionally.
• Maintain designated areas for swimming lessons and other aquatic programs.

What are we looking for

We are looking for motivated and reliable individuals who are passionate about water safety and delivering exceptional customer service. You will need to have the following:

• Current Pool Lifeguard Licence (essential)
• Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
• Satisfactory National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 3 months)
• Previous public pool lifeguard experience (desirable)
• Strong swimming ability and confidence in performing rescues.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
