The Fremantle Leisure Centre is seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Pool Lifeguards to join the Aquatics team.
The position will see you ensuring the wellbeing and safety of the public during their use of the facility and assisting in the preparation and dismantling of day-to-day operations and activities within the Centre.
Key responsibilities include:
· Ensure the highest standards of public safety/supervision are maintained in the aquatic area.
· Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
· Administer first aid treatment and emergency response/care.
· Enforce and educate centre users on swimming pool and centre rules.
· Ensure that work areas, pools and surrounds are maintained in a safe, clean and tidy condition, so that risk of accidents occurring is reduced to a minimum.
· Carry out routine water testing.
· Carry out duties / tasks as directed by the Duty Manager.
Applicants must hold the following current qualifications and clearances:
· Pool Lifeguard Licence
· First Aid Certificate
· National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months)
Applicants need to be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of duty of care and occupation safety and health policies and procedures and a commitment to customer service.
