ABOUT THE ROLE
This position provides leadership to the Communication and Marketing Team, and reports to the General Manager of Business. The role manages the Communications and Marketing and is responsible for the strategic oversight of all communications and marketing across the organisation.
This role involves leading communications strategies, overseeing media relations, content creation, and managing stakeholder relationships.
As the manager, you will be responsible for leading the Communication and Marketing team to create transformative communications and marketing strategies that raise public awareness of the capability and status of Wungening.
This position will partner with the Executive Leadership Team to prepare advice and responses for significant public issues.
This includes but is not limited to Media Relations, Social Media, Internal Communications, Marketing, advocacy, policy, graphic design development, cultural awareness, digital communication development, sector campaigns, and key communication and marketing projects.
You will oversee two direct reports – Internal Communications Lead and the Marketing and Branding lead.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications in Public Relations, Journalism, Policy development or similar field
Two years’ experience in a senior communications or management role
Experience in responding to or working with media and across social media platforms
Able to work independently and autonomously to meet deadline
Able to be flexible in managing workloads to meet deadlines
PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
WA Working with Children Card
National Police Clearance (dated within the last 3 months)
WA Drivers Licence
