About the opportunity
Council is seeking to appoint a highly motivated person to fill the role of Manager Corporate Services.
This dynamic role will provide the opportunity for a finance based person to broaden their experience and knowledge to lead the Corporate Team.
Manager Corporate Services provides leadership, advice, strategic direction and support on human resource matters, assists in achieving council’s corporate and departmental financial objectives and ensures strategies are in place to manage risk including contingency, continuity planning and ensures Council Records systems meet all legislative requirements.
The role is being offered as a 5-year contract, classified at Level 7 of the South Australian Salaried Officers Award and associated Enterprise Agreement.
About you
To perform the role successfully, you will:
require formal qualifications to degree level in accounting, financial management, business administration or equivalent qualification and relevant working experience.
professional knowledge of Local Government Acts/Regulations and other applicable legislation
sound working knowledge of accounting systems, Council Plans and
management and leadership skills
experience in leading, developing, managing and supporting team outcomes and performance
financial management experience
demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills and work ethics
