Our Practice
Join our dynamic surgical practice, working for our Upper GI & General Surgeon specialising in complex hernias, obesity and gastrointestinal cancers. We have practices located at Kogarah and Woolloomooloo (scar management surgeon as well). Our dedicated team consisting of two doctors, Practice Manager and 3 administration staff, using Xestro medical software.
We pride ourselves on delivering the highest level of patient care in a professional and comfortable environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional service and support throughout their journey.
The Role
This role offers you a diverse and dynamic work experience that encompasses a wide range of duties and responsibilities. As our superstar medical receptionist, your main objective will be to provide exceptional front reception and administration assistance for our Kogarah location.
Organisation is your middle name and staying one step ahead of the doctor is your superpower. You'll ensure that all reception and administrative tasks are completed efficiently, allowing our doctors to focus on what they love most – taking care of the patients.
The role is for 3 days per week and the hours are as follows:
Tuesday 10am to 6pm
Thursday 9am to 5pm
Friday 9am to 5pm
Duties and responsibilities of the role include:
Provide an outstanding level of customer service on the telephone and in meeting and greeting patients
Efficient coordination of all patient data, appointments, procedures, clinical files, correspondence and accounts for Kogarah location as well as making appointments for Woolloomooloo
Schedule and effective management of patient bookings in Xestro software
Processing of patient invoicing and receipting of consultations
Coordination of theatre lists and surgical procedures
Liaise with and maintain excellent working relationships with other medical disciplines and the hospitals
Provide administrative support to the Practice Manager
Your Skills & Knowledge
You will possess the following attributes: -
Previous medical reception experience working in a specialist practice
You are passionate about providing an exceptional level of customer service.
You are meticulous by nature and always ensure everything is completed to the highest standards
Compassionate, empathetic and warm disposition
You are a natural born organiser that can multitask and manage time efficiently
You are comfortable in using digital technology
Able to work well independently, but also as part of a team
Ability to connect and interact with people of all ages, background and personalities
Flexibility to be able to work additional days to cover staff annual/sick leave
