About the role

Banyan Park Playcentre Inc is seeking passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teachers and Diploma-qualified Educators to join our vibrant and caring team on Norfolk Island, South Pacific. This full-time role will see you providing high-quality education and care to children aged 0-5 years in our nature-based, not-for-profit early learning centre on beautiful Norfolk Island.

What you'll be doing

Planning and implementing engaging, play-based learning programs that support the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of each child

Observing and documenting children's progress to inform individualised learning plans

Establishing strong relationships with children and their families to foster a warm, nurturing environment

Ensuring a safe, clean and well-maintained learning environment that meets all regulatory requirements

Working collaboratively with our teaching team to share ideas and best practices

Undertaking continuous professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

An Early Childhood Teaching qualification or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care

Ability to work in Australia unrestricted and permanent (no visa holders please)

Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality early childhood education programs

Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and national quality standards. Experience with the QKLG will be highly regarded

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and the wider community

A passionate and nurturing approach to supporting the holistic development of young children

A valid Working with Children Check/Bluecard/National Police Check or the ability to obtain one before starting

Banyan Park ELC was re-imagined following a Building Better Regions grant in 2018. We are a highly regarded early learning centre that has been serving the Norfolk Island community for over 40 years. Banyan Park is a community based centre committed to providing a quality early learning service, in partnership with parents and the community, that is relevant to Norfolk Island.
