Our team of Support Workers provide 24/7, person-centred care—and now we’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor with safety responsibilities to join our Brendale-based team and help support the people who make this happen.
The Role
This is a true Advisory role with an added focus on safety, WorkCover, and injury management. You'll play a key part in the full employment lifecycle, while also ensuring our safety systems and processes meet both compliance and care standards.
It’s a flexible, part-time role (24 hours/week) that would suit someone returning to the workforce or managing family commitments—we’re happy to offer school hours for the right person.
Key Responsibilities
HR Generalist Duties
Provide expert advice on HR matters, including ER/IR issues
Interpret and apply the SCHADS Award to employment conditions and contracts
Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training coordination
Support performance and conduct matters, including investigations
Assist with workforce planning, employee engagement, and HR reporting
Prepare policies, letters, contracts and documentation
Build great relationships across the team and wider organisation
Safety & Injury Management
Coordinate incident reporting, WorkCover claims and return-to-work processes
Maintain WHS documentation, risk assessments, and compliance records
Provide coaching and guidance on injury prevention and management
Liaise with medical professionals, insurers and regulatory bodies as required
About You
You're an HR professional with a solid understanding of award interpretation, especially the SCHADS Award, and some experience in WHS and injury management. You’re comfortable working independently, but love being part of a down-to-earth team that genuinely cares about its people.
You’ll bring:
Experience in an HR Advisor or generalist role (essential)
Solid knowledge of employment legislation and Award interpretation (especially SCHADS)
Experience managing WorkCover, RTW plans, and WHS processes
Great communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and documentation skills
Resilience, empathy and a sense of humour
Qualifications in HR or WHS are helpful but not essential if you have practical experience
