About VHBA

The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.

The Opportunity

VHBA is seeking two VPS6 Principal Advisors, one to work within the Parkville Precinct Redevelopment project and the other working across our High Value, High Risk portfolio.

The Principal Advisor is a critical role responsible for providing expert advice and strategic and operational support to the Senior Executive Program Director and broader leadership branch. This role supports strategic coordination of Branch activities to ensure the successful delivery of a significant infrastructure program.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Providing authoritative advice, reasoned recommendations and innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues based on comprehensive research.
• Considered support and strategic engagement of senior management.

• Providing strategic leadership to the management and delivery of branch submissions, briefings and responses to corporate and government requirements.

We are looking for:

• Tangible experience for supporting the delivery of major infrastructure projects across a range of procurement delivery models.
• Excellent working knowledge of government legislation, policies and processes associated with contracting, contract administration, procurement and commercial construction
• A self starter with an exceptional ability to build, maintain and influence a range of stakeholders.
