About the role
Tensis is a fast-growing Australian SaaS company leading the charge in document automation. Our flagship platform, Smarter Drafter, is widely used by the legal industry across Australia — and now we’re expanding into the UK.
We’re on the hunt for a Product Designer to help shape the future of our platform, Smarter Drafter Pro. This is more than just UI work — you’ll be tackling complex workflows and turning them into elegant, intuitive no-code solutions used by professionals daily.
You’ll work alongside product managers, engineers, and customers to create experiences that truly simplify how legal documents are drafted and automated. This role is ideal for someone who’s hands-on, passionate about user experience, and wants to leave a mark on a product — and a company — that’s growing fast.
What you'll be doing
Design elegant, user-centric experiences in Figma for complex enterprise and no-code automation workflows.
Work side-by-side with product and engineering from ideation through execution — your voice will shape product direction.
Run user research and usability testing using tools like Maze, Optimal Workshop, or Hotjar — ensuring what we ship truly works.
Translate complex logic and workflows into intuitive, scalable UIs that empower users without overwhelming them.
Develop and maintain our design system to ensure consistency, accessibility, and efficiency across the platform.
Define and track UX success metrics, including task success rate, adoption, and time-to-completion.
Help shape our design culture — establishing best practices, design rituals, and ways of working as we grow.
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience in UI/UX or Product Design, ideally in SaaS or enterprise software.
A strong portfolio that shows off your ability to simplify complexity through design.
Mastery of Figma, and familiarity with research and testing tools (Maze, Optimal Workshop, Hotjar, etc).
Experience with design systems and accessibility best practices.
A good eye for aesthetics balanced with strong UX thinking and technical feasibility.
Excellent communication skills — especially when working with developers to hand off detailed, annotated designs.
A desire to move fast, take initiative, and contribute to a growing, mission-driven product team.
What we offer
Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses
Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, including private health insurance and gym membership
Opportunities for professional development and career advancement
Vibrant and inclusive company culture with regular social events
Flexible work arrangements and remote work options
Why join Tensis?
We’re solving real, high-impact problems for professionals who rely on precision and speed. You’ll get autonomy, influence, and the chance to work on a product that’s rapidly expanding across international markets.
If you’re excited about simplifying complexity and want to join a team that’s pushing the boundaries of legal tech, we’d love to hear from you.
