We are currently seeking a Health and Safety Officer to join our team in Howe Adelaide

About The Role:
As a Health and Safety Officer, you will provide essential OHS services, offering high-quality advice and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will work closely with the Site Manager and receive guidance from the HSEQ Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary health and safety contact on-site, providing advice and assistance to all persons.

Identify, control, or escalate health and safety issues to the Site Manager as needed.

Ensure compliance with site safety requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Lead in the resolution of OHS-related issues and ensure a proactive approach to safety management.

Maintain and organize OHS documentation to a high standard and within project timelines.

Conduct inductions and communicate essential safety information to the workforce.

Ensure all workers possess the required certificates, licenses, and competencies.

Ensure tools, plant, and equipment are safe and in optimal condition.

Organize and deliver regular toolbox talks to the team.

Perform safety-related labouring tasks.

Implement and maintain emergency procedures and ensure safety equipment is ready.

Complete injury/incident reports as directed by HSEQ Manager, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are taken.

Assist the Site Manager with the planning of on-site works.

Review contractor SWMS in advance of works and ensure compliance.

The Ideal Candidate:

Ability to adapt to flexible working hours

Experience as a Health and Safety Officer in a construction

Knowledge in Hammertech

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.

Ability to resolve issues proactively and efficiently.

A proactive and safety-first attitude.
