About the role

Ballina Marineland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Qualified Marine Mechanic to join our team. This full-time position is based in Ballina, NSW 2478, and will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a range of marine outboards, vessels and equipment.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on various types of marine engines and equipment

Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing on vessels and equipment

Liaise with customers to understand their needs and provide expert advice

Maintain accurate records of all work undertaken

Ensure workshop and tools are kept clean, tidy, and in good working order

Adhere to all relevant safety standards and procedures

What we're looking for

Qualified trade certificate in Marine Mechanics or equivalent

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Qualified Marine Mechanic, preferably in a similar role

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Strong technical knowledge of marine engines, systems, and equipment

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively

Commitment to safety and attention to detail
