About the role

Underwood Auto Repairs is seeking a Qualified Mechanic to join our team in Underwood, Queensland. This is a full-time position that will involve repairing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to the highest standards.

What you'll be doing

Diagnosing and repairing light vehicles

Performing scheduled maintenance such as servicing, brakes, and tyres

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions

Test driving vehicles to ensure all repairs have been completed to a high standard

Maintaining detailed records of all work carried out

Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients

Adhering to all safety procedures and ensuring a clean and organised work environment

What we're looking for

Completed trade qualification in automotive mechanics

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a qualified mechanic, preferably in a workshop environment

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure

Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A team member who is punctual, reliable and committed to our business

Commitment to ongoing professional development and upskilling
