Our client is a large, NSW government department that provides extensive health services across the state

Role description:

The Project Manager will be working end-end on construction based - non IT health infrastructure capital works projects. Projects are varied and include road upgrades, installation of EV charging stations, replacing an MRI machine, hospital roof replacement etc.

Currently there are 5-6 staff in the team, with no other PMs on the team.
There is a project officer and a project director in place.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing a suite of projects under a capital program up to $10m in value
• Writing briefs / developing scopes of work
• Management of and contribution to project governance structures including engagement (direct/indirect) of project team members and stakeholders.
• Ensuring that the project deliverables are achieved and meet the required quality criteria
• Managing budget
• Reporting on milestones.
• Ensuring complete and thorough liaison occurs with all interested stakeholders
• Develop, document, manage and implement effective change, operational risks

Skills and Experience:

• Must be a construction based project manager that has managed 250k to $1m in project value
• Commercial / capital works project management experience essential
• Health experience is handy but not essential
• NSW government procurement experience - tender, contractor management, scopes of work etc. an advantage
• White Card is essential
• Broader trade knowledge is handy e.g. HVAC, electrical services etc
