About us:

The Forrest Centre is founded on spiritual support and personal connection, we are a Riverina-based aged care provider. With 40 years of experience, we are a registered charity dedicated to ensuring elderly people in the region receive the care they deserve.

Our services include at-home care for around 300 clients through Forrest Community Services, as well as residential aged care at Loreto Home of Compassion (76 residents), Mary Potter Nursing Home (70 residents), and The Forrest Centre Hospice (10 residents).

About the role:

As our People & Culture Manager, you will support our operational service management and staff to provide an exceptional working environment and outstanding care for our residents and clients.

You will be part of the organisation’s management team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and will support the executive team in providing high level strategic advice to the workforce on all employee matters. This role is required to partner with stakeholders to deliver initiatives and manage the day-to-day generalist function within the workforce.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Managing the employee lifecycle with recruitment and selection, onboarding, talent management, performance management, industrial relations, and workforce planning.

Developing and implementing strategies and polices to ensure adequate resources to meet organisational objectives.

Supporting team development and fostering a high-performance culture by enhancing capability through coaching and empowerment.

About you:

We believe our residents and clients deserve extraordinary support and care. While industry qualifications are important, we also look for the right person with the right values to fit our team. We're looking for someone who:

Has a genuine interest in the aged care industry, with previous experience in aged care or the health sector preferred.

Holds a tertiary qualification relevant to the role.

Has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Has an affinity for working with people coupled with a demonstrated understanding of policies and legislation relating to human resources.
