About the role
Better Together Community Support is seeking a Client Intake Officer to join our team. As a Client Intake Officer, you will play a vital role in welcoming and supporting individuals within our community who are seeking assistance from our services. This full-time position is based in Atherton, 1.5hours from Cairns, North QLD. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those in need within our local community.
What you'll be doing
Respond to inquiries from potential clients and provide information about the services we offer
Receiving initial intake assessments to understand each client's unique needs and circumstances
Liaise with relevant team members ensuring that clients are matched with the appropriate support services
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and notes
Provide exceptional customer service and a warm, empathetic approach to all client interactions
Assist with administrative tasks such as processing client paperwork
What we're looking for
Prior experience in a customer service, client support or administrative role
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficient in using computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets and client management systems
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and making a positive impact in the community
A relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as social work, human services or community development would be highly regarded
What we offer
Generous Salary Packaging benefit of $15,899 per year, plus $2,650 meal and entertainment card, to increase your take home pay.
