About the role

We are currently seeking a project accountant to join our Sydney office. This role proactively supports the external Big Four accountant by performing accounts tasks, reporting & analysis as required and deliver internal/external services to ensure compliance with all company policies, internal controls, and procedures.

Key responsibilities

Assist with project bank account management, bank receipting & reconciliation, time management & reporting as well as:

Internal/external audit requests and other accounting tasks as assigned within advised deadlines.

Assist team members and employees with investigations and queries related to the assigned function.

Support in reviewing aging in-progress items pending resolution by team member and resolving aging balance sheet line items.

Support the delivery of other tasks or projects, as directed.

About you

Preferably has background in financial accounting with diploma or degree in finance or another related field.

1-2 years’ experience in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel & expense accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, master data management, with basic understanding of accounting and finance processes, systems, and controls.

Experience with Xerox systems.

Ideally have worked in medium - large finance functions or a shared services environment.

Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
