About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. This role will support various aspects of our financial operations, including reporting, reconciliations and payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping and Financial Records:

Maintaining the general ledger including data entry,

Reconciling Bank accounts and other accounts including ledgers

Ensuring accurate financial records.

Invoice and Payment Processing:

Managing accounts payable and receivable

processing invoices, and tracking payments including oversee supplier invoices to ensure payments and balances are accurate, resolving discrepancies as they arise

Perform reconciliations of online sales transactions, particularly within Shopify,

Resolve discrepancies with payment gateways and bank statements.

Manage monthly commission sales statements for both US and AUS sales teams.

Generate order confirmations in Xero for buyer orders and send out invoices prior to collection launches.

Budget and Reporting:

Assisting in the preparation of budgets and reports as required.

Payroll Management:

Process and manage payroll accurately

Maintaining employee records

Processing Superannuation payments and reconciliations

Administrative Tasks:

Performing data entry, filing, and other clerical duties as required.

What You’ll Bring:

Experience: 3+ years in an accounting role, particularly with month-end closing, sales reconciliation, and payroll.

Education: Tertiary degree in Accounting or related field; CPA/CA qualified.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced MS Excel, experience with Xero, Shopify, and payroll software.

E-commerce Knowledge: Familiarity with online sales processes and financial flows.

Payroll Expertise: In-depth understanding of payroll regulations and practices.

Industry Experience: Previous experience in fast-paced sectors such as retail, fashion, or cosmetics is highly desirable.
