About the role

Due to internal promotions and company growth, we are looking for a dynamic business solutions consultant who will offer our integrated risk solution services to the market.

As a Business Development Manager, you would be instrumental in shaping and executing our business development initiatives, generating leads, identifying client needs, and ultimately driving the adoption of our products. You will be focused on increasing the market position of R2S by working with Executives and Managers to promote business risk solutions to respective customers, as well as working and creating direct leads from prospective customers. You will build key relationships, identify opportunities, confidently provide demonstrations (both in person and via Teams) all whilst maintaining knowledge of current market conditions.

Previous experience or exposure to the industry is not necessary but would be a distinct advantage. This job is ideal for a go-getting self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills together with a genuine desire to help businesses improve the many risks modern businesses face.

There will be some travel involved within your designated region and we are open to the successful applicant being based from any of the main cities across Australia.

In this role, you will forge and sustain deep, trusted partnerships with key clients, industry partners, and prospective customers. You’ll own the entire customer journey – from initial connection to closing the deal – as you lead the way in expanding our presence and services to market.

You’ll be responsible for steering the full sales lifecycle, from first engagement and product demonstrations to negotiating contracts and securing successful outcomes. Your proactive approach will be vital in identifying, nurturing, and converting opportunities

Your efforts will be pivotal in generating, nurturing and converting leads to opportunities and ultimately success for Risk 2 Solution.

This is a 4-month, full time max duration contract, with the option of becoming permanent should the proof of concept prove successful.

Your tasks would include:

Follow up company generated leads and provide product demonstrations

Generate new business through effective prospecting activities

Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network

Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to build and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets

Set up demonstrations between client decision makers and company practice leaders/principals

Handle objections by clarifying, and working through product differences to a positive conclusion

Attend industry functions, such as roadshows, events and conferences as and when required

Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop bespoke customer solutions by working with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs

Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with potential and existing clients and identify new opportunities for growth

Prepare scope of service documents, provide quotations to clients for new or additional products or services

Ensure the provision of prompt and efficient customer service to internal and external

Maintain a robust sales pipeline for future sales of both new and past clients. This includes updating leads on the company’s CRM

Successful applicants will need the following:

• 2-3+ years Sales, Business Development or Account Management experience

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Keen eye for detail

• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales target

• Ability to identify key stakeholders and close sales

• Good listening, questioning and negotiating skills

• A proven can-do will-do attitude

• Be someone who thrives in an autonomous environment whilst still being a team player

• Have industrial workplace understanding of Australian Federal and State Workplace

• Experienced in organising and prioritising own workload to meet deadlines.

• Efficient, discrete, self-motivated, organised, a good collaborator.

• Have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.

• High level of accuracy and detail, advanced English and Maths skills.

• IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, especially Word and Excel, ability to handle multiple tasks.
