The Avenues Group currently operates 16 high quality Early Learning centres across Brisbane, providing education and care for over 1500 children each day.

The Role
As the qualified Chef, you will oversee the daily operations providing healthy, nutritious and delicious meals for children from 0-6 years of age.
Rostered hours will be approximately 7:15am- 2:45pm Monday- Friday.
Previous experience as a chef in an Early Learning centre will be highly desirable.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Running the day to day operations of the kitchen
Preparing food that adhere to allergy and medical and/or intolerance requirements during food preparation
Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in line with Food Safety Program.
Implementing high level of food safety standards at all times, while having a strong sense of children's nutritional and dietary requirements
Food preparation for morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and late afternoon snack
About You
Previous Kitchen experience is essential
Qualification in culinary arts is essential
Current Working with Children Check (or able to obtain)
Food Handler's Certificate
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
