About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic cook to join our team at Rosie's Early Learning Centre in Mount Samson, Queensland. This part-time role is responsible for preparing and cooking wholesome, nutritious meals for the children in our care.

What you'll be doing

Plan, prepare and cook a variety of meals and snacks for children aged 0-5 years

Ensure all food preparation and cooking follows relevant health, safety and hygiene standards

Liaise with the director and educators to understand children's dietary requirements and preferences

Maintain a clean and well-organised kitchen environment

Contribute to menu planning and provide input on nutritious, cost-effective meal options

Assist with ordering and stock management of kitchen supplies

What we're looking for

Ideally, experience cooking for large families/groups, ideally in a childcare or education setting

Knowledge of nutrition, food safety and hygiene regulations

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for providing high-quality, nutritious meals for children
