Active Kids Early Learning Centre is a nurturing and supportive childcare centre dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and educational environment for young children. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join our team and prepare nutritious and delicious meals for the children in our care. If you are enthusiastic about promoting healthy eating habits and have a love for working with children, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of children.

Plan weekly menus, ensuring variety, and that meals are balanced and meet nutritional requirements.

Cater for special dietary requirements (e.g., allergies, vegetarian/vegan diets).

Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.

Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control of kitchen supplies.

Work closely with the childcare team to ensure mealtimes are a positive and enjoyable experience for children.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a childcare, school, or similar environment.

Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs of young children.

Food Safety Certification and/or relevant qualifications in culinary arts or hospitality.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A caring, patient, and friendly demeanor, with a passion for working with children.

Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
