The Communications teams leads delivery of corporate communications projects and initiatives, including developing insight-based, audience-focused internal and external communication strategies as well as providing specialist communications support for all clients across the department.
What you'll do
- Play a senior role within a team of communication professionals, orchestrating the development and implementation of strategic communications initiatives aimed at enhancing the health outcomes for Queensland health system consumers.
- Foster robust relationships with senior management across Queensland Health, Health and Hospital Services (HHSs), various other Queensland Government agencies, and key stakeholders within the health sector. Your role will require extensive liaison and coordination, demonstrating your well-developed communication and negotiation skills.
- Provide high-level, strategic advice to clients regarding communication strategies and delivery mechanisms. This advice should encompass complex and specific issues, potentially impacting major areas of agency operations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic communication strategies that align with the priorities of Queensland Health. Your responsibilities will require autonomy and significant control over these projects, all within the broader strategic constraints defined by senior management.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering substantial or intricate communications projects within agreed budget and timeframes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated through the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to plan, manage and deliver several competing priorities.
