MD Group consists of multiple trading companies operating Nationally within the commercial building sector. Collectively we employ over 120 people throughout our construction and manufacturing companies with the newly established metal stud and batten product importation and sales division rapidly adding to that number.
The Person We’re Looking For / The Role
We are looking for a RESULTS-ORIENTATED and highly self-motivated Sales Rep who thrives in a multitasking fast paced environment. This newly created role requires a hands-on approach, where you will take charge of the entire sales process – from identifying new business opportunities and building strong client relationships to managing sales orders and providing any after – sales support. Building off the back of our near decade old established construction brand, you will play a key role in expanding our customer base throughout WA and beyond…… while maintaining strong connections with current clients, ensuring a seamless and customer-focused sales experience.
The Job / Key Responsibilities
With two locations consisting of: 1. Our own modern and newly fitted out office premises in Joondalup with your own fully equipped desk space and private meeting room, front door parking and kitchen facilities. "and" 2. Our large product storage facility with internal office and amenity space in Naval Base – your options to work and meet with clients are uniquely balanced both North and South of the River.
· With a high level of support from our platforms and internal network, proactively identify and generate new leads within the construction and supplier wholesale purchasing market.
· Build and nurture strong, ongoing relationships with all purchasers.
· Cold call and in person prospecting, presenting and promoting the benefits of purchasing our products ahead of others.
· Negotiate pricing within given parameters to successfully close the deal.
· Manage incoming enquiries and process all sales orders successfully through the dispatch team.
· Using the benefit of collaboration with our construction sales and estimating teams, strategically analyze the construction sector project approvals to identify large upcoming sales opportunities.
· Maintain accurate records of all client interactions, leads, orders and sales activities and effectively present to group directors at end of month and end of quarter sales review meetings.
· Provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales and after sales process.
· Successfully meet and exceed sales targets.
About You
· Demonstrated experience in a full cycle sales role and B2B sales (experience within the building supply sector will be highly desirable)
· Proven ability to generate and convert leads into long term clients.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
· Self-motivated, results driven and able to work independently.
· Valid drivers licence and ability to travel locally as required.
· Familiarity with light gauge steel construction products is desirable but not essential.
· Are available to travel interstate should the opportunity require it.
