THE ROLE

As a member of our design team based in Truganina, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of retail environments. Collaborating with colleagues both locally and worldwide, you'll bring your creative vision to life by designing innovative and visually captivating retail fixture solutions. From conceptualization to execution, you'll leverage your expertise to develop cutting-edge designs that not only meet but exceed client expectations. Your designs will cater to a diverse range of sectors including mass-market colour cosmetics, luxury, couture cosmetics/fragrance, electronics, gaming, and pet products, contributing to the enhancement of the retail experience for customers worldwide.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Generate convincing and viable 3D concepts and supporting visualisations and animations.

Develop and present forward-thinking, innovative designs that align with current and emerging market trends that align to corresponding brands.

Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project managers, and manufacturing, to ensure designs are feasible and aligned to develop cost-effective solutions.

Work in collaboration and in support of creative lead for timely delivery.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Tertiary qualifications in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related fields.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Strong attention to detail and dedication to meet project deadlines.

Experience in Point of Sale or similar.

Proficiency in 3D design software inclusive of Solidworks, and Sketchup, and preferably 3DS MAX, V-Ray

Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and preferably After Effects

THE PERSON

A sound understanding of manufacturing processes: sheet metal fabrication, acrylic fabrication joinery, and injection moulding.

Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

THE POSITION WILL BE OFFERED AS A 12-MONTH CONTRACT, WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION BASED ON PERFORMANCE AND BUSINESS NEEDS.
