About the role

We are searching for an experienced Solicitor to join our dynamic team at Ipswich, Queensland. As a Solicitor - General - Criminal, Family, Wills & Estates, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal services to our diverse client base. What you'll be doing

Advise and represent clients on a wide range of legal matters, including criminal law, family law, wills and estates

Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, deeds, wills, and other legal instruments

Conduct legal research, analyse case law, and provide comprehensive legal opinions

Liaise with clients, other solicitors, and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective case management

Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and regulations to provide clients with the most current legal advice

Participate in the firm's professional development activities and contribute to the growth and success of the practice

What we're looking for

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree, and admission as a solicitor in Queensland

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in general legal practice, with a focus on criminal law, family law, and wills and estates

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically

Proven track record of delivering high-quality legal services and achieving positive outcomes for clients

Commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining a current knowledge of relevant laws and regulations

Strong ethical standards and a commitment to providing exceptional client service
