AC Hotel by Marriott Melbourne Southbank is a 205-room, 4-star hotel located on the city fringe of Southbank, a short walk away from the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre. Our hotel is a design-led hotel for the guest who is intentional in everything they do. Through overthinking every element of your stay, AC provides everything you need and nothing you don’t.

As the Engineering Manager at AC by Marriott Hotel Southbank, ideally you have worked in hotels before, with experience managing and motivating a small team and the ability to communicate effectively with hotel owners, senior management, contractors and guests alike.

Position Summary:

Manage the Day-to-day system operation and maintenance routines of the property

Oversee all preventative maintenance repairs, feeling empowered to make an impact

Liaise with contractors, suppliers and like-minded people for equipment and relationship building

Be a dynamic and thoughtful leader by empowering and supporting your team through general operational tasks

Actively identify, conduct and manage repairs to the building and equipment

Oversee building & service standards and identify and implement improvement initiatives showcasing your creativity and innovation skills

Be the main point of contact for all external & internal clients for the Engineering department

Ensure you and the team uphold all company policies and procedures whilst demonstrating the Marriott core values

About You:

Relevant managerial, or supervisory, experience in general maintenance, property maintenance in hotels, facilities, residential or commercial

Current, unrestricted working rights in Australia

Technical maintenance experience
