Engineering Manager – Brisbane

This role offers a competitive salary of up to $170,000 per annum, plus superannuation.

The Opportunity

The Engineering Manager will lead and develop the Brisbane-based engineering function, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, effective resource allocation, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role involves managing a small team of engineers and CAD designers, overseeing workshops, and building strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
• Oversee the daily operations of the Brisbane project, repair, and overhaul workshop.
• Provide technical leadership and training to enhance team capabilities in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Foster and maintain strong customer relationships, promoting a culture of exceptional service within the team.
• Manage team performance, development, and recruitment in collaboration with HR.
• Ensure compliance with Australian standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Demonstrated leadership experience, managing teams of engineers and technical staff.
• Strong Project Management expertise, including delivering projects over $1 million.
• Advanced technical knowledge in materials handling, maintenance, or process engineering.
• A customer-focused approach with proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive organisational change.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, SAP, and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Previous experience in the aluminium or heavy industry sector is highly regarded.
• Experience in Crane / lifting equipment is an added advantage.
