This company, operating in the construction space, is a leading construction company in Tasmania, specialising in the design, development, and construction of high-quality steel structures for commercial, industrial, and rural markets. They are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team based in the Launceston office.
Your new role
The Project Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from contract to completion. This role requires a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and extensive experience in construction management. They will also be responsible for but limited to the following:
Client Communication: Serves as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
Project Planning and Management: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Team Leadership: Regular site visits to lead and manage a team of construction professionals, including subcontractors, engineers, and site supervisors
Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and company policies
System Implementation: Oversee the rollout of any system implementation within the organisation from start to finish over a 6-month period, including the training of staff and clients.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate, you will need to have the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, as well as the following qualifications, skills and attributes:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
