The Role
As the Music Program Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Music Department. Reporting directly to the Director of Music and working side-by-side with the Music Administrator, you will be responsible for coordinating instrumental and vocal tuition, organizing musical events, and managing key administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage instrumental and vocal tuition programs.
Organize and facilitate music department events, including performances, rehearsals, and competitions.
Handle inventory management, scheduling, and accounts payable.
Foster strong relationships with tutors, music staff, students, and vendors.
Maintain attention to detail and ensure deadlines are met.
Utilize software tools for managing inventory, graphic design, and programming.
Promote a paper-free environment using digital strategies.
Assist with instrument maintenance, room allocation, and tutor concerns.
Prepare content for the music webpage and College communications.
About You
You are an organized and detail-oriented professional with a passion for music. We are looking for someone who can bring their administrative expertise to our dynamic Music Department. You have:
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and experience with inventory management and graphic design software.
Ability to work independently and be flexible in allocation of work hours to support the full range of Music programs.
Prior experience in music program administration or a related field, with a proven ability to organize and coordinate events such as performances, rehearsals, and competitions.
Experience in managing accounts payable and budgeting, including handling purchases.
Proven ability to work with and support music tutors and teaching staff, fostering strong relationships through effective and clear communication.
Commitment to the holistic development of students and the mission of the College.
Formal qualifications in music, arts administration, or business administration would be highly regarded.
