Your role
The Polly Farmer Foundation is searching for a Program Coordinator who is passionate about working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
The position is part time (1 - 2 days per week), fixed-term and based in Newman, WA in 2025.
The Primary Program Coordinator role is responsible for leading and managing an after school Follow the Dream Primary Program. The Program Coordinator ensures programs meet the needs of students and the requirements of key stakeholders, including parents, community, funding partners, and schools. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for managing staff who report to this position and report to the Program Regional Manager.
Your Responsibilities
The Follow the Dream Primary program runs 1-2 days a week after school for 2 hours each day during school term. The successful applicant will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Follow the Dream program, including student instruction, supervision and management of casual staff.
Recruitment and engagement of tutors for the Follow the Dream program in partnership with the Regional Manager and HR team.
Work closely with students and families and the Aboriginal Community in the local area.
Document and collect data relating to the program for reporting.
General administrative tasks relating to the Follow the Dream program.
Work in Partnership with school staff and leadership to create implement and deliver curricula for students within the program.
Build and sustain community relationships.
What you will bring
Experience in delivering an educational program.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with important stakeholders, such as parents, teachers, students and funding partners and community members.
Experience engaging and working with Aboriginal Communities.
Administration skills ability to report and collect data relating to program reporting requirements.
Understanding of funding partnerships and budgeting.
Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Check.
Hold a current driver's license.
You currently reside in Newman, WA.
