About the role

The Packing Room Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the packing room to ensure that products are packed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards and food safety regulations. This role involves supervising packing staff, maintaining inventory levels, ensuring quality control, and coordinating with other departments to meet production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of packing staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.

• Ensure all packing activities are carried out according to production schedules and quality standards.

• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing room in accordance with BRC and food safety standards.

• Conduct regular quality checks on packed products to ensure correct labeling, weights, and presentation.

• Coordinate with warehouse and production teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely dispatch of orders.

• Enforce health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a packing, food manufacturing, or warehouse environment.

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., BRC,HACCP, GMP).

• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong communication skills.

• Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, inventory or ERP systems).
