About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at our Eastern Suburbs office. This role is ideal for someone local who values a supportive team environment and wants to grow with a proudly Australian company.
Key Responsibilities:
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statements
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Process invoices, receipts, and payments
Prepare BAS (Business Activity Statements) and lodge with the ATO
Assist with payroll processing and superannuation contributions
Maintain and update general ledger accounts
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Generate financial reports for management as required
Ensure compliance with Australian accounting and tax regulations
Skills and Qualifications:
Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting (or higher)
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
Solid understanding of accounting principles and the Australian tax system
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MYOB - Advanced, Xero, QuickBooks)
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team
Familiarity with payroll systems and ATO compliance requirements
Preferred:
Experience working with small to medium-sized businesses
