Our client is a well-established integrated logistics provider in the global logistics industry, known for providing a wide range of tailored supply chain solutions across the globe in APAC, Europe and Asia.

As part of their exciting expansion in Australia, they’re looking for two experienced, licensed Customs Brokers to be a key part of building their new customs clearance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in establishing their operations at their brand-new site office, conveniently located near Sydney Airport/Mascot.

Your Role

Handle mass e-commerce clearance volumes, with 10-20 MAWB (Master Air Waybill) per day, each containing around 1,000 parcels.

Oversee the clearance process at Sydney port initially, with expansion to Melbourne, Brisbane, and other ports as needed.

Process documentation and retrieve documents from API, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Manage and group HS codes for various shipments.

Use software such as CargoWise, with the ability to learn new systems as needed.

Review and validate required documentation, classify goods, process customs entries, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.

Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving issues such as escalations and disputes effectively and professionally.

Stay informed on the latest updates to customs and trade laws, including changes to tariffs, classifications, and compliance regulations.

Provide expert advice to client on trade and compliance matters.

You will have…

A valid Australian Customs Broker License.

E-commerce clearance experience (SAC) is highly preferred.

Significant experience in the Shipping/International Freight Forwarding industry, with a background in a Licensed Customs Broker role

Proficiency or ability to learn CargoWise or similar software.

Strong organizational skills for documentation and record-keeping.

Flexibility to cover different shifts to ensure seamless operations.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
