Our restaurant is renowned for its handcrafted dumplings, signature wok-fried dishes, and other regional specialties, prepared with the freshest ingredients and traditional cooking techniques. We are committed to delivering high-quality food and an exceptional dining experience to our guests.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a passionate individual who values excellence in culinary preparation and presentation. As a key team member, you will work closely with our head chef and management to uphold the highest kitchen standards and ensure the consistency of our signature dishes.

Preparing, seasoning, and cooking a variety of dishes in line with our menu specifications.

Developing and adjusting recipes to enhance flavours while maintaining consistency and presentation standards.

Examining and monitoring food quality by assessing ingredients and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, deep fryers, and stovetops to ensure efficient cooking processes.

Supervising food preparation and cooking processes to ensure that all dishes meet our high-quality standards.

Training junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene procedures.

Managing inventory and stock control, including ordering and receiving supplies while minimizing waste.

Ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations in accordance with Australian standards.

Collaborating with chef, other kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain smooth restaurant operations, especially during peak hours.

The essential requirements for this position:

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role.

Relevant qualifications.

Strong understanding of Asian and Fusion cuisine.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.

A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong communication skills.

Passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to providing high-quality dishes.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
