ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Project Manager ICT, will work with relevant stakeholders to ensure complex/large information and communications technology (ICT) projects are realistically designed, planned, developed, implemented and evaluated within the agreed timeframes and budgets. The Senior Project Manager will provide project management expertise to coordinate the design, testing, updating, and implementation of complex information and communications solutions and facilitating the achievement of operational project, corporate objectives, strategies, and plans in an efficient and effective manner. They will coordinate and manage the risk, quality and progress of ICT projects to organisational project governance standards, and ensures projects have a strong change management plan in place are completed on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within agreed scope. This role will act as an advocate for and demonstrate a high-level knowledge of project governance and to apply these skills to support the achievement of short and long-term business goals/projects.

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:

  • Extensive experience in large and complex service industry or preferably emergency service organisations managing and delivering medium to large ICT projects, developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, reporting, issue and risk management, and managing budgets all within Project Management Governance Frameworks.
  • Extensive understanding of project management methodologies with practical application of these within Project Management Governance Frameworks along with sound knowledge and understanding of contemporary project management techniques including the use of applications to monitor and report on a portfolio of projects.
  • Superior organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise conflicting activities, multi-task, deal with ambiguity, achieve business goals, and always work with a customer focused approach.
  • Manage and develop stakeholder relationships through effective communication channels, negotiation, and issues management whilst fostering and sustaining strategic partnerships across teams, directorates and the wider eHealth and NSW Ambulance.
  • Issues management skills and ability to work within short timeframes on sensitive and complex matters and provide high level advice.
  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to analyse and interpret information from multiple sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in project management / change management or related field or Project Management Qualifications (PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile) or equivalent extensive proven experience in the management and implementation of medium to large size ICT projects in a complex delivery environment
