POSITION: Manager Supported Independent Living (SIL) Accommodation (ACT/Southern NSW)

Valmar Support Services has a current vacancy for a permanent full-time Manager in our Disability Operations service, based in Canberra ACT. Working to the Senior Manager, Disability Operations, you will oversee the operations and management of multiple Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes across the ACT and Southern NSW. This role includes responsibility for daily operations, financial management, and supporting the strategic direction of our SIL services.

The role requires direct oversight of service operations, staffing, training, quality management, compliance maintenance, and collaboration with families and other stakeholders, to support individuals to live independently within their SIL accommodation, whilst working to Quality Assurance guidelines for accommodation services.

About you:

• Hold a Degree/Diploma and/or multiple relevant Certificate IV’s or other appropriate post-secondary tertiary qualifications.

• Previous experience working with adults with disabilities and their families or similar role.

• Excellent communication and team-building skills.

• Strong leadership and organisational skills.

• Financial and staff management skills.

• Excellent networking and crisis intervention skills.

• Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft Business applications

• Good understanding of NDIS compliance and incident reporting.

• Management of Actual or Potential Aggression (MAPA) accreditation or similar or be willing to obtain this accreditation.

• Current Australian driver’s licence.

• Current First Aid Certificate and NDIS worker check or be willing to obtain.
