ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a newly created role to help us keep pace with our growth.
As a Payroll Officer at Maskill, you will play a vital role in accurately processing employee payments. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, some of your key areas of responsibilities will include:
Processing weekly timesheets and pays
Processing monthly payroll tax and FBT
Processing reimbursements
Maintaining accurate payroll records
Calculating employee entitlements
Assist with payroll related queries
Maintain compliance with legislation, awards and company policy

You would describe yourself as a professional who is highly organised and detailed orientated. You are a person who gets a real kick out of ticking things off the to do lists and meeting deadlines.
You love process but have a flexible mindset and are happy to adapt to processes that might be slightly different to what you are familiar with.
At work you love being part of a great team environment but you're equally happy working totally independent.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The non-negotiables for our new Payroll Officer -
A growth mindset
Previous experience in a similar role
Previous experience working with Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
Detail orientated with a methodical approach
A strong team player
Proficiency in Xero accounting software as well as MS Excel
A professional approach to your work
Personal drive; the desire to learn and develop
Experience supporting the implementation of new processes, ideally using technology
Things we’d be excited about but aren’t deal-breakers -
Experience in manufacturing, freight or production
Being a systems thinker with a genuine love for process improvement
The deal breakers -
You’re generally a negative person and find it difficult to see the good in anything

➡️ This role is being offered on a part-time basis. You will be required to work on-site from 9.00am to 2.30pm Monday to Friday, however we are open to discussing a different start and finish time with the successful candidate.
