Payroll Officer – Casual or Part-Time (School Hours Considered)

Strategic Business Co are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join our friendly and professional team in a casual or part-time capacity. This role is ideal for someone who’s confident running end-to-end payroll and is looking for a role where no 2 days are the same – school hours are absolutely an option.

Key Responsibilities:

Process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time

Maintain payroll records and employee data

Ensure compliance with relevant awards, agreements, and legislation

Interpret awards and apply pay conditions correctly

Respond to employee payroll queries professionally and promptly

Assist with reporting and reconciliations as required

General Administration tasks

What We’re Looking For:

Proven payroll experience (essential)

Experience interpreting modern awards and/or EBAs (highly regarded)

Relevant qualifications in payroll, accounting or HR (an advantage)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Confidence working independently and meeting deadlines

Familiarity with payroll software (let us know which systems you’ve used)
