Wayarang isn’t just another agency…
We believe in the power of perspective to drive meaningful change. Our integrated approach helps create a more connected, inspired, and beautiful world—and we're on a mission to do things differently.
For our clients, that means combining the agility and innovation of an agency with the smarts and rigour of a consulting firm. We don’t believe in “tick-and-flick” exercises or cookie-cutter approaches. We push boundaries, challenge assumptions, and deliver solutions that actually work.
For our team, that means rejecting the outdated “work hard, play hard” mindset. Instead, we create an environment where success means knockout work without burnout. We want you to thrive both at work and at home. Diversity of thought, people, projects, sectors, and clients keeps us motivated and moving forward. Doing the right thing because it’s the right thing is simply who we are.
We are Indigenous-owned, female-led, and proudly diverse, with a team that includes First Nations people and culturally confident allies from all over the world. If you want to make a real impact, grow in your career, and do it in a way that feels good, you’ll love it here.
What we’re looking for…
As our Learning Experience Lead, you’ll take the reins of our e-learning practice—shaping strategy, driving innovation, and leading the successful delivery of impactful learning solutions. This role blends leadership, business development, and hands-on project execution, as you collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to craft engaging and effective digital learning experiences.
You won’t be hands-on in design or development, but you’ll need a deep understanding of how great learning experiences come together — guiding teams of instructional designers, developers, and creatives to deliver high-quality solutions.
We hope that, in time, this role will become instrumental in growing our eLearning practice, identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and helping us stay ahead of the latest trends in e-learning and digital learning.
What you’ll be doing…
Strategy
Develop and refine learning experience strategies, frameworks, and content blueprints that support diverse learners.
Establish metrics and evaluation strategies to measure learning impact and continuously improve our solutions.
Stay ahead of emerging e-learning trends, technologies, and methodologies, ensuring we offer cutting-edge solutions.
Project and team management
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of e-learning projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline expectations.
Support the development of learning content, ensuring it is engaging, effective, and aligned with best practices in instructional design and digital learning.
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams of instructional designers, developers, and creatives to produce high-quality digital learning solutions.
Act as the primary client contact, managing expectations, gathering insights, and ensuring project outcomes align with their goals.
Business development and client engagement
Support new business development by shaping proposals, pricing work, and engaging with prospective clients.
Identify growth opportunities within the e-learning space, helping expand our capabilities and client base.
Provide expert advice on learning design, delivery, and implementation, positioning our team as a trusted partner.
What you bring to the table…
Essential requirements
Proven experience in leading e-learning or digital learning projects, ideally within an agency, consultancy, or corporate learning environment.
Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning experience design, and digital learning technologies (e.g., LMS, SCORM/xAPI, Articulate Storyline and Rise, Adobe Captivate, etc.).
Experience managing e-learning teams (instructional designers, developers, and creatives) and overseeing the end-to-end development of digital learning solutions.
Experience crafting engaging learning content, ensuring alignment with best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles.
Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders, managing project expectations, gathering insights, and ensuring successful delivery.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex learning needs into clear, effective solutions.
Desirable requirements
Business acumen, with experience in business development activities, including drafting proposals, pricing work, and engaging with new clients.
Experience in blended learning, microlearning, or mobile learning strategies.
Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies in e-learning.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with First Nations communities and a deep commitment to designing and delivering culturally safe, respectful, and inclusive learning experiences.
Formal qualifications in Education, Instructional Design, Digital Learning, or a related field (not essential but highly regarded).
