Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our client based in Chadstone for a full time, temporary position until June 2025. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of payments while providing financial and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  
  
• Verify and reconcile creditor invoices while maintaining accurate financial records.
  
  
• Assist in the calculation of accruals and prepayments and support monthly reconciliations.
  
  
• Prepare and post general ledger journals as required.
  
  
• Deliver high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  
  
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  
  

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum two years of experience in an accounts payable role within a large organisation.
• Strong understanding of invoice processing, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with TechOne or Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Software (desirable).

Qualifications:Mandatory: Certificate or Diploma in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Additional Requirements: A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check are required for this role.
