Under the leadership of the Head of Retail, leads the Store Manager, Store Support Lead and Customer Service Assistants in store whilst supporting the opening of other stores.

The role will be based in Melbourne stores, as we open them, the Cluster Manager is responsible for total store execution including but not limited to customer service, merchandising standards, operational procedures, operational controls, people development and driving sales. As Cluster Manager your first priority is to contribute to the success of your stores. This means that you not only deliver in your role as the Cluster Manager, but you also model leadership behaviours and deliver as a manager on duty. As the Manager on Duty, you deliver results during your assigned time, drive key performance indicators and brand loyalty by leading through your team. The Cluster Manager is the leader of the management team that sets the tone by embracing and living our values.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Responsible for Operational Execution and Total Store Follow Up

Drives customer experience and sales goals

Continually recruits, hires, trains, and retains assistants; identifies internal staff talent and provides opportunities for career path development

Responsible for managing the executing overall store standards to be consistent with Brand

Drives overall profitability for store focusing on total store sales and expense control

Responsible for ensuring the proper execution of all cash handling policies including opening and closing procedures, daily paperwork, and bank deposits

Ensure compliance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

Partners with the Operations Manager and Human Resources for employee coaching / counselling, performance documentation and staff relations matters

Reviews all corporate communications and prioritises/plans accordingly

Rostering of staff, including roster approval

Ensure weekly, monthly and annual payroll budgets are managed to

Authorises register functions including post voids, returns and discounts

Merchandise plans are executed

Ensures the execution of company data integrity process and physical inventory management

Overseas successful receiving and stocking procedures are properly followed and maintained

Partners with the Operations Manager on any store related issues

Ensuring exceptional customer service is executed by all staff through training for high levels of customer engagement and role modelling ideal behaviours.

Ensuring Staff personal and uniform presentation is to a high standard

Holds all staff accountable for their job responsibilities

Responsible for floor sets and follow up

Complies with Human Resources policies and procedures

Performs store maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, cleaning, maintaining stock room

Strong culture of safety at all times including the correct use of carton cutter, ladders & trolleys

This job description is not all-inclusive. Additional responsibilities will be determined by the Operations Manager, as dictated by store needs

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Frequently operate computer and printer, and occasionally operate cash register

Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 10kg and up to a height of 1.5-3m

Frequent use of stock trolleys, pallet jacks for the moving of stock

Frequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock

Frequently position self to kneel, bend and stoop, including in stock room and on the sales floor

Must be able to identify and execute merchandise layouts, staff schedules, and standard operating procedures

Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with staff.

Frequent movement across the store directing staff to and from the back office and stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise

Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time

QUALIFICATION AND WORK SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 3 years retail management experience preferred

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task, direct and manage people

Creative thinking

Ability to maintain composure under pressure

Solid numeracy skills
