About the role

As an experienced Concrete Foreman, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing construction projects for RMCON, a leading construction company based in Melbourne, VIC. In this full-time position, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and coordinate the efforts of your team to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Applicants must have experience in setting out slabs and reading plans and have an understanding on steel reinforcement and concrete itself.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and direct the work of construction crews, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to project plans

Coordinate the allocation of resources, equipment, and materials to maximise efficiency and productivity

Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise

Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations on the worksite

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, helping to develop their skills and expertise

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and builders to ensure seamless project delivery

What we're looking for

Experience as a Concrete Foreman or Supervisor in the construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years' experience

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as the ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team

Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions

Thorough knowledge of relevant safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance on the worksite

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with all
