About the role

SDC GROUP is seeking an experienced Concreting Foreman to lead our team in Cairns, QLD. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing all concreting operations, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards and within budget and timeline constraints.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate a team of skilled concrete workers

Implement detailed project plans and schedules

Monitor progress, identify and resolve any issues or challenges

Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with regulations

Liaise with clients and subcontractors

Maintain quality control and adherence to specifications

Optimise workflow and productivity to maximise efficiency

Provide hands-on support and guidance to the team as needed

What we're looking for

Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Concreting Foreman or similar supervisory role in the construction industry

Strong technical knowledge of concreting methods, materials and equipment

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver high-quality results

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications

Thorough understanding of workplace health and safety regulations

Problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle challenges on site

Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
