We are seeking an experienced Architectural & Drafting Team Manager to lead and expand our teams in Australia and overseas. This role involves setting up and refining systems and processes, overseeing design and application workflows, providing hands-on training to continuously enhance our team’s capabilities, and staying at the forefront of technology and industry developments.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

Manage and mentor both onshore and offshore architectural and drafting teams.

Develop training programs and facilitate professional growth for team members.

Systems & Process Development

Establish, refine, and implement processes to streamline design workflows, planning applications, and building permit approvals.

Ensure documentation and protocols are maintained and updated regularly.

Project Oversight

Oversee all stages of the design process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Coordinate planning applications, building permit applications, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Technology & R&D Integration

Work alongside the R&D team to integrate designs in BIM and point cloud data.

Continuously explore and implement the latest technologies to enhance productivity and design quality.

Collaboration & Communication

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and external stakeholders to align deliverables with project goals.

Provide clear direction on project requirements, timelines, and quality expectations.

Business Growth & Expansion

Identify and recruit top talent to expand the architectural and drafting teams.

Propose strategies for continuous improvement and contribute to the company’s long-term vision.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree-qualified Architect with 5+ years of local experience.

Proven experience managing architectural and/or drafting teams, including remote or offshore teams.

Solid knowledge of architectural design processes, planning permission, building permit regulations, and relevant standards.

Strong leadership skills with a track record of training, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Proficiency in relevant CAD/BIM software and project management tools is highly desirable.

NDIS and Modular construction experience an advantage—understanding these areas will greatly benefit project scope and efficiency.

Experience working with or integrating BIM and point cloud data is highly valued.
