Role:

This role involves operating an excavator with a Sorting Grapple from a concrete slab to sort waste, working closely with a ground crew. You will also operate trucks as required, utilizing vehicle tracking for route optimization and adhering to our safety protocols, including truck camera usage.

Responsibilities:

• Specialized waste sorting using an excavator (Sorting Grapple).
• Safe and efficient material handling.
• Daily machinery checks and maintenance.
• Adherence to Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) policies and procedures.
• Team collaboration and accurate record keeping.
• Environmental responsibility.
• Operating trucks with vehicle tracking for route efficiency.
• Adhering to safety protocols, including truck camera usage.

Essential Requirements:

• Excavator license.
• Valid driver's license.
• White Card.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a waste management environment.
• Team player with the ability to both lead and follow instructions.
• Willingness to undergo medical/drug/alcohol screening.
• Prepared to demonstrate practical excavator skills.
• Ability to operate vehicles with tracking systems.

Desirable:

• Experience in waste sorting or similar material handling roles.
• Experience operating excavators with a grapple.
• HR License.
• Forklift license.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Experience with waste compacting equipment.
