About the role

Sinnott Plant Hire is seeking an experienced GPS Excavator Operator to join our team on a casual basis, leading to full time to the right candidate. Based in Brisbane, Queensland, this role will involve operating a 21 ton excavator with GPS on subdivisions across Brisbane. It is preferable for you to have a basic knowledge in regards to maintaining and identifying potential maintenance issues on your machine. It's important for you to be self sufficient, at the same time be able to work in a team and take direction when required.

What you'll be doing

Safely and efficiently operate a GPS excavator on predominantl subdivision sites to complete a variety of excavation and site preparation tasks

Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and safety of your excavator.

Collaborate with the construction team to complete projects on time and to a high standard

Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations.

What we're looking for

Formal qualification and 3+ years of proven experience as an Excavator Operator in the construction industry

Experience using GPS.

Demonstrated proficiency in operating in a range of excavation environments and using different attachments.

Strong attention to detail, commitment to machine maintenance and to the safe working enviornment of yourself and of those working around you.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Current driver's licence and construction industry tickets/certificates.
