The ATF Group is seeking a full-time Purchasing Assistant for its security business to be a key and active participant of the Finance team. Key facets of the role involve facilitating all purchasing and assisting the Fixed Assets Accountant in asset accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate stock ordering, procuring products and coding
• Manage purchase orders and raise requests for payment to suppliers
• Communicate updates on back orders and delivery statuses
• Provide accurate and complete accounting and record keeping of purchases and payments
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including operations and procurement teams, to resolve issues
• Support the Fixed Assets Accountant with recording stock and assets
• Find opportunities to improve the purchasing process and help implement changes
• Provide administrative support to the factory and finance teams.

Minimum criteria

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience
• Baseplan ERP system experience is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail while multi-tasking
• Ability to prioritise tasks in order to meet tight deadlines
