About the Role
A fantastic opportunity now exists for an enthusiastic and highly competent Service Technician for an immediate start with our service team based at our Victorian operation.
Please apply if you are from the western suburbs or Geelong area, as you will only need to come to Hallam to stock your van parts weekly and can start your first job of the day from home.
The role involves visiting client sites in company vehicles for testing, servicing and repairing a multitude of different products, including:
- Hoists & lifts
- Rail systems
- Baths
- Change Tables
- Etc.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
- Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, producing timely and detailed service reports, logs, and records.
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organisation
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings
- Build positive relationships with customers
- Ability to work unsupervised be a self-starter with a positive and proactive approach
- Customer focused with a “can do attitude”
- Working with Hydraulic and Electric Systems
Core competencies and attributes
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following;
- Proven field service experience in a similar technical role - must have a mechanical aptitude and experience using a wide range of hand tools
- Excellent numeracy & literary skills
- The ability to communicate at all levels
- Impeccable attention to detail
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Must be able to lift 25KG
- Working on ladders
