What you'll do:

As our new Accountant, you'll be trusted with a diverse range of responsibilities that will challenge and inspire you every day.

• Financial Recordkeeping: Keep our financials in perfect order, ensuring smooth operations and accurate records from general ledger to accounts payable and receivable.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare timely, accurate balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, providing actionable insights that drive the business forward.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations (GST, BAS, payroll taxes), supporting the preparation of tax returns and other essential financial filings.
• Reconciliations & Reporting: Manage monthly and annual reconciliations, ensuring financial alignment across bank accounts, vendor statements, and more.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives—playing a pivotal role in financial planning.
• Process Innovation: Your fresh ideas will shape our financial processes—helping us streamline systems and increase efficiency in everything we do.

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who is passionate about both finance and renewable energy.

• Education: You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: You bring previous accounting experience and a willingness to continue growing in the field.
• Certifications: If you're working toward CPA or CA certification, even better!

Skills:

• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and tax regulations (GST, PAYG)
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero)
• Stellar organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
